What is the Best Month to Go to Turks & Caicos?
We think any time’s a great time for a Turks and Caicos all-inclusive resorts vacation.
But…if you’re all about the sun, the sea, and the good times, aim for late November to mid-May—that’s when these islands are in their prime. The weather’s dry, the skies are all blue, and the sea? It’s like a giant pool for your water adventures—snorkeling, diving, boat escapades, you name it.
Now, here’s the trade-off: it’s peak season. You’ll be shelling out a bit more for accommodations, and some spots might be buzzing with tourists. But hey, if you’re looking for that postcard-perfect paradise, this is it.
But hold on—if you’re more of a deal hunter and don’t mind a sprinkle of rain, the wet season from mid-May to early November might be your time to visit. Sure, there’s a chance of storms, but there’s also a good chance you’ll snag better deals and dodge the crowds.
Now, for the in-betweeners like us, those shoulder seasons in late May to early June and September to October could be your sweet spot. Think of it as a Goldilocks zone—not too crowded, not too rainy.
Is Turks and Caicos really expensive?
“Crazy” expensive? No. Expensive? Yes, when compared to destinations like Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
Turks and Caicos all-inclusive resorts and flights tend to compare in cost to that of the Bahamas, Jamaica, St. Lucia, and other English-speaking Caribbean destinations.
How long is a direct flight to Turks and Caicos?
How long it takes to fly from the U.S. to Turks and Caicos will of course depend on which city you’re departing from. But you can get here in under 2 hours from Miami and just over 3 hours from New York City.
Does Turks and Caicos use American money?
If you’re packing greenbacks, then you’re in luck! The U.S. dollar is the official currency of Turks & Caicos, so you don’t have to worry about exchanging money on arrival.
With that said, you’ll still want to watch out for foreign transaction fees when using your credit card or withdrawing money at an ATM.
