Bandon for us was a stop along the coast while exploring for days. We had a good local seafood dinner within walking distance, in the quaint part of town maybe 1 7 minute walk down the small hill from the hotel. We did not stay during the day as we continued on, but definitely some great shops and restaurants and cafes and bars to peruse with a more leisurely stay.

The two main attractions for Bandon are Old Town and Haystack Rock. (Yes, in addition to those in Cannon Beach and Pacific City, there's a Haystack Rock right offshore in Bandon.)
Old Town is small but charming, with restaurants and gift shops set at the side of a small marina. The vintage buildings are all well kept and there's ample parking. Plus it's right off where Highway 101 goes through town.

Winter time Bandon is quiet, shops and restaurants if open have shorter hours. The beaches are empty except for stalwarts and natives out with their dogs or just grabbing some fresh air.
I love summer time Bandon, everything is open, Old Town is more lively, the temps are nice and the days are longer.

Bandon beaches are magical at sunset and sunrise.
Bandon beaches are magical at sunset and sunrise. Old downtown has quaint shops and restaurants. Beautiful old homes. Unfortunately, there is a lot of new home construction taking place encroaching on the area. Our visit was in January so we didn't have to deal with the summer crowd, which was a huge win for us.

The Bandon area has a beautiful coastline with a wide variety of features including rock formations, sandy beaches, jetties, lighthouses, marshes, rivers, bridges, nature preserves, walking trails, and big waves. The town has good restaurants and shops with all the basics. It's relatively quiet and picturesque. I found 100% of the people we met to be pleasant and friendly. The people at Bandon Inn went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and were having a good time even though it was Thanksgiving weekend and I'm sure they had other places they'd have liked to have been. We had a great time!
I stayed here over the 4th of July with my wife and 9 year old daughter, and it was great for a one-night getaway. The best part was that we were able to watch Bandon's fireworks from our porch on the 2nd floor. It's not a fancy hotel, but our room was very clean, beds and pillows were comfortable, and the room was arranged nicely. There was also one of those electric fireplaces beneath the TV. Simple but adequate breakfast in the morning. Would stay there again if I needed a place to stay while traveling through the area.
Thoroughly enjoyed my room. Large bathroom with good towels, make-up towel, and strong water pressure. The room had a mini-fridge, microwave, water heater (for tea) and coffeemaker. A small patio with 2 comfortable chairs and a table to enjoy the lovely weather. The Black-out curtains are great for sleeping. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows. Located within easy walking distance to Table Rock and another national seashore area with beach access. A quick drive to "Old Town" Bandon. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were very tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable and I felt very at home here! I didn’t really want to leave. I had a room at the back of the property and slept very well-it was quiet and felt very safe as a solo traveller. Right next to a great coffee shop and very close to the old town. A short walk and you can see the lighthouse across the water. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me and were just the loveliest: Thank you Bandon Marina Inn!
Great little place and well set up.
Asked for an early checking by an hour and cleaners were done - as I was there in driveway, but no, no text so I waited til 4 pm. Which is late imho. Even a hotel will allow this.
A bit stingy on the coffee pods - silly really when you’re spending hundreds in a room. VERY LOUD FOOTFALLS upstairs - they were not partying - as a matter a fact I looked and they were elderly…. Just no insulation I guess.
We liked the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. My husband was particularly appreciative of the window cleaner, squeegee and cloths to clean our car windows after high winds blew sand and salt spray on them. The beach was lovely but high winds drove us inside. The balcony had very comfortable chairs.
Beautiful hotel located right above the old town of Bandon. Amazing view from the room. 5-10 minutes walk to restaurants and beach. The room was large, quiet, and clean, and the bed was comfortable. A great place to relax for a few days (or more). I really love this hotel and have stayed there three times now.
Friendly and accommodating front desk staff. The hotel is old and certainly not fancy BUT comfortable and clean and the location to the beach was excellent. We were travelling with our dog and this was one of the better hotels to accommodate the dog. The beach was spectacular!
No breakfast except what we fixed. Location was good, close to the ocean views. We enjoyed the wildlife around the house very much. We liked the Bandon Dunes Crossing golf course which is close by. The farmer's market was also good with
fresh fish and vegetables.
We loved our marina view and location of the inn! Had everything we needed - keurig with coffee pods, wine glasses and corkscrew, bathroom amentities etc. Steps away from great coffee, Bandon Brewing, and a quick drive to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
The location and private beach access was spectacular! We loved the beach and played for hours in the “sand dunes”. The breakfast was delicious, much more than you would expect from a similar hotel. It was a really magical weekend
beautiful and spacious. beach access a short walk down the road. beautiful ocean views from most rooms. inviting sun rooms. pet friendly. lots of space for everyone to gather together or find your own quiet little nook.
Nice fresh comfortable hotel, helpful and welcoming staff, good breakfast included, walking distance to beach, short drive to town.
Be warned the coast here in July is not that warm but the sun is strong
Incredibly clean room. Location was 5 min walk to Bandon beach. Such beautiful views. We were in the “anniversary” room. It was stocked with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster.
Location is excellent for exploring Bandon. Breakfast options are very good. Pastries, fruit and breakfast bars with good selection of drinks. Accommodation is excellent and very clean.
The hotel was beautiful, and very clean with great views. The staff was beyond amazing, helpful and actually happy to be there. I felt safe staying there with my daughter.
