Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks...
Going to see the sunrise at Tiger Hill and Everest peaks were a bit disappointing as there was a fair bit of pollution and cloud, so not clear to see. Very cold as well, waiting for sunrise, but plenty of vendors selling hot drinks.
Sherpa Tensing Norgay’s house is a must see( although I didn’t as I became ill), as is ‘toy’ train, which is a narrow train that chugs up and down through nearby towns.
There is a huge Body Shop as well.
Tea plantations are interesting but not open all the time.
Clothing is fairly cheap, especially puffer jackets.

City of Darjeeling has as such nothing to visit..
City of Darjeeling has as such nothing to visit.. Entire town streets full of warm clothe shops and nothing else.. however, nearby places are good as usual.. this is my 5th time to the place and not new.. people with 3-4 days time can explore various places, talk to nature, enjoy the cool bridge..

When I first arrived in Darjeeling, I noticed it was crowded...
When I first arrived in Darjeeling, I noticed it was crowded and a bit polluted. But, overlooking that, the city offered an amazing view of the Himalayan ranges. The downtown area felt like any other hill station, with cozy cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Despite the hustle and bustle, the real charm of Darjeeling became clear – it's a place where the beauty of nature shines through, making it special despite the city buzz.

Walk around to explore the streets and take in the views.
Walk around to explore the streets and take in the views. The Himalayan Tibetan Museum is worth a visit - small but so interesting. Happy Valley Tea was interesting although it is not operational in December/Jan. Walk up Tiger Hill for the views well worth it - rather than driving. The Zoo was worth it as was the Toy Train. People were friendly, not pushy and helpful. All kinds of food to try. Try Chula for momos!
Just stayed for 3 nights with my family. We booked 2 rooms in reasonable price from booking. both of the rooms were fantastic.
1. Nice valley view from our room.
2. Super clean bathrooms.
3. Room service was excellent. They refilled room amenities timely.
4. Location is great. On the left, upward road goes to bhanu bhaban in 5mins and shortcut to mall chowrasta. On the right 5-7 mins Walking distance to Glenarys, Keventers, Clock Towert and mall market.
Highly recommended for family travelers. My family loved this Hotel.
it was a bit hard to find especially after a flight from Delhi to Bagdogra and a 4h drive to Darjeeling... but we made it ok and the owner was a very nice guy, very cheerful and very fluent in English. our room had a beautiful view of Darjeeling and we made the most it... the market was down the road with lots of restaurants and the departure point to get a shared taxi to go to Sikkim.... we really enjoyed the hotel.
Mind blowing. The behavior of the owner is just exceptionally friendly, and the homestay does justice to its name as it literally feels like home, it doesn't feels like a hotel but as a relatives house. And the view from the rooms and balcony is enchanting.
I highly recommend anyone who wants to visit Darjeeling and feel it's beauty from the cozy comfort of home do consider staying there....
Sohinis's grace is truly 'not a hotel but a home'. I have stayed at few hotels in darjeeling before , but this place really felt like home. Prolad sir was a great host whose hospitality made us feel very comfortable. The room was very pleasing with a nice view from window. It was clean , well maintained and nicely decorated. It had TV with Netflix, Amazon, etc. which was a nice added feature.
The location is in front of Darjeeling station so if you want to book share a car or book a private taxi it's easy to do. Room is ok as per price. The mall road is 15 minutes walking distance from the hotel. I booked a room under 800 rupees. staffs are ok. No complaints on staffs. If you need something tell them, they will help you.
Our stay at Nayna homestay was exceptionally peaceful, relaxing and the best view from the balcony. Our host were the best people you can ever meet. I guess i ended up booking this homestay randomly but had the best couple of days here. Will definitely stay here again if back to Darjeeling.
The rooms are spacious very clean and quite cizy, the room heaters and the toilet is proper.....the climb up to the hotel is a little steep ,only 4 wheel drive cars can go,nice place with Mountain and rhododendron view.....about 15 mints by car from Darjeeling chowk Bazar
We had a short but wonderful experience staying at Muscatel Bhumsang. The rooms were cosy and comfortable and had good facilities. We were even given the option to choose between two rooms..would definitely recommend this hotel when you are in Darjeeling.
Nice hotel, with lovely simple rooms, extremely clean and they had heating blankets which is very much needed in Darjeeling. Kiran and Samiksha were very nice and helpful, especially with organizing local shared jeep in town. Would come back, thanks!
Great place to stay..Hotel is in prime location. you don't have to worry about anything once you checked in. great room, mesmerizing view from the room, peaceful, worth spending money on this property. staffs were amazing. Chef 😘for food...
The ambience was amazing, love the interior decoration and the wood finish. Rooms look. Very modern and posh. Lovely view, very clean and comfortable hotel. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Service and breakfast also was very nice.
Considering the price range, the hotel surpassed the majority of other accommodations. The staff displayed remarkable helpfulness and were always prepared to assist. Moreover, the cleanliness of the hotel was commendable.
The setting, food and staff are exceptional! It's a peaceful break from Darjeeling but within each reach via a taxi. The home cooked (and very reasonably priced) breakfasts and lunches are about the best you'll find.
Good hotel in Darjeeling in a very good location .
Loved the stay.If you don't mind for Himalayas view from your room then it's a very good property to stay.Food was good and breakfast was lovely.
