We needed some relax time and crazy gecko is perfect for that. Lovely room with a big balcony, two hammocks and the perfect sunrise view over the Mekong. The food in the restaurant is really nice, especially the Swiss rösti in the morning. Andy is the perfect host and the reason we felt immediately at home. He gave a lot of information and is always ready to help. All the staff there is very friendly. Keep up the good work!

I cannot praise this property or Andy, the owner, enough. The property is right on the river with exceptional views and only a 5-10 minute walk from the main bars and restaurants. iI is clean and has hot water. I was originally booked into a family room which was really nice with an amazing balcony, but when a riverside villa became available the next day Andy kindly moved me and it is the best room I have had on my travels. It was so good I ended up extending my stay. Andy was a great host ensuring I was comfortable and having a good time. He was very accommodating. I would recommend anyone travelling to Don Det to stay here. I will definitely come and stay again next time I visit Don Det.

This is a special place! What really makes it stand out is the Swiss owner Andy who is especially attentive and helpful and is always available for any advice and information. He could not have been more supportive when my phone ended up in the Mekong! His Lao co-owner Sedea is also very nice and as a solo traveller I appreciated their friendliness and really felt I was valued guest. I enjoyed the restaurant where you can hang out overlooking the Mekong and mingle with others. The food is varied and delicious. My room had a lovely balcony with a hammock, right on the Mekong. The whole place has a lovely relaxed ambience. It's quite nice that it is set apart from the busiest area in Don Det (near the port) which is about 10 minutes walk away. Although there is no aircon my room had a strong fan which pointed at the bed which was much needed.
